On the north side of Chicago resides the prestigious Chicago Preparatory School of the Arts. It is a high school that moves through the standard English, Math, and History classes quickly so students begin learning in a study they are truly passionate about. With fifteen different studies, students can graduate with limitless possibilities. Many move on into an immediate career in the film agency, Broadway, or symphonic performances while other earn early acceptance into colleges such as New York University and Berklee College of Music. When you attend CPSA, the possibilities are greater than you can imagine.
But let's face it. This is high school, and the arts are famous for their competitive field. Many students form lifelong friendships in order to keep enemies close. Others seperate themselves from the rest of the student body to concentrate on their future. Almost all spread rumors and backstab to eliminate the competition, and everyone's fighting to become the next big star. Pressure comes from families, teachers, other students, and even the city. It hackles you with different taunts each day, saying you must survive this. You must become the next big thing.
